Professor Post is a pioneer in producing meat in-vitro. He presented the world’s first hamburger from cultured beef in London in August 2013. Back then, the burger cost $325.000. Today the cost is much lower and the reality of bringing this new meat to market much more visible.
This work led to the receipt of the World Technology Award for Environment at the World Technology Award Gala in New York in November 2013. Mark has co-authored 160+ papers in leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and has raised 50+ million dollars in funding from various sources including Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google, the government, charity and industry.
